Activity or task based learning focuses on the three "C"s of CURIOSITY, CREATIVITY, and COLLABORATION.
Children whose interest is engaged by a task are capable of longer periods of attention than is usually recognised. Children who want to find out how something can be made to work by a sense of curiosity.
Children like to make things and take things home to show and share. Their creativity is more wide-ranging than a traditional reading/writing lesson allows for.
